We are so excited to be featured on the January 2023 issue of Texas Highways Magazine!
Big City Skyscraper in New York, Texas -
I got a random phone call from a guy a few months ago looking for someone in New York, Texas. I laughed and told him well thats me. If you have ever been to New York, Texas you know why I laughed. There is not much here. The guy was from Chicago and wanting to set up a art installation in New York, Texas that mimicked Park & 75 in New York City. The guy ended up calling the right place.
The project is a part of Chicago's Terrain Biennial, an outdoor art exhibit that began in Oak Park Chicago, but has spread to sites nationally and internationally. The idea is to make art more broadly accessible to the public, by partnering with residents and businesses for a limited installation.

Texas Bluebonnets at New York Texas ZipLine Adventures
Bluebonnets are the State flower of Texas and my personal favorite. My dad helped me get these started several years ago and they get better each year.
Most people suggest to sow your seeds in October, but i have had the best luck just letting nature take its course and I sow my seeds in the end of the bluebonnet season. This is usually sometime around the end of April.
If if you are in the area stop on by for a beautiful photo opp!
Winston ♥
The Zipline world lost an icon yesterday as Winston Edward Shultz, the World's First Ziplining Dog, was laid to rest. He absolutely loved his job as the greeter and porch patrol as well as getting love from all of his Zipline guests. He has been on the news all over and even starred in his own commercial. We sure are going to miss his gentle soul around Shultz Mountain.
If you have a picture or memory of Winston from your Zipline trip, feel free to share in the comments. We would love to see them. Here are a few of our favorite memories with him.
